18 & 19 November 2025, Gallagher Estate – Geely Auto announced the official South African debut of the Geely E5 and E5 EM-i, its all-electric and plug-in hybrid SUV duo. Available locally in Aspire and Apex variants, the Geely E5 features a confident, modern exterior with dimensions of 4,615 × 1,901 × 1,670 mm and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm—delivering a spacious interior for South African families and professionals alike. The trunk offers 461 litres of capacity, expandable to 1,877 litres for everything from city commuting to weekend getaways.

The E5 is engineered with an advanced next-generation battery system and an integrated 11-in-1 electric drive unit. Its 60.22 kWh battery pack enables the Aspire to achieve 430 km WLTP combined range (410 km for Apex). With a peak output of 160 kW and 320 N·m of immediate torque, acceleration is instant and repeatable across 12 consecutive high-load runs without degradation.
